My First Encounter with African Culture - Music and Dance

All my school' s Form 5 students had been invited to join an OLE activity on 27thJune, 2012. Our school invited an African to share the culture of his country .

He taught us to sing , dance and drum .

The orthodox of African drum is called Djembe , it was originated in the non-tribes of Kenya .

In Africa , indigenous use of African drums to build a group.

Ensemble African drumming to build up teamwork, self-confidence, rhythm training, stimulate students' creativity and musicality. The strong rhythm of African drumming, is an effective release emotional medium.

I think it was the greatest time to relax after the final examination. I hope all girls and teachers had fun on that day because I really enjoyed the moment that we sang and drummed together. It was peaceful and warm time.

Without any communication, the African could still run high an atmosphere with his body language. This is the main message that I learnt from this action. We can use fewer words but it also can show our feelings , just like we ware hanging smiley when we danced ,we showed that we enjoyed it .

I discovered  African’ palms are white , haha !

This is our last summer ! Enjoy your summer but do not forget to study more to handle our HKDSE !  We have only about 6 months to study so I hope everyone could ‘ play hard ! work hard !!!!!!!! ‘ LETS TRY YOUR BEST  AND NEVER GIVE UP !!!! :- )
